Guest Speaker: Sam Soltani


Sam Soltani is the founder and President of the Trace Group, a Vaughan based organization made up of three firms that together cover the full lifecycle of building systems work. Trace Consulting Group Ltd. (TCG), established in 2016, is the multidisciplinary engineering practice covering mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and building envelope. 


Trace Fire Group Ltd. (TFG), launched in 2022, focuses exclusively on fire protection and life safety. Trace Maintenance Group Ltd. (TMG), the newest firm added in 2025, provides maintenance oversight and contractor accountability programs for property managers, boards, and building owners.



Sam holds P.Eng., PEO designated consultant, and is a LEED accredited professional. His work spans multi-residential, commercial, retail, and industrial properties, with a practice focus on capital planning, forensic investigations, code compliance, and litigation support. He is regularly engaged at the board and property manager level across high-rise residential and condominium portfolios, guiding clients from initial investigation through to final completion.

 

Sam also contributes to industry committees and boards, and was named to Canada's Top 100 Professionals in 2022.
